Easter Dinner

Date: April 4th, 2010

Today, my family and I had my grandparents over for dinner. We had to make a lot of food and I got to make the mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes are always my favorite at big dinners like these. I have to say, my mashed potatoes were some of the best I've ever tasted. I don't know why but I think it has something to do with the fact that I made it.

Easter Egg Hunt!

Today, I had my friend and his parents over for dinner. My family and I do this each year and each time we have a big easter egg hunt. This year, we bought white chocolate easter bunnies. We found two of the three that we bought and we couldn't find the other. We spent 45 minutes looking for the last bunny when finally, my mom goes and looks under a big pile of my brother's toys. Luckily, now I have my chocolate easter bunny!

Good Friday

Today, I woke up at 6:30 am like I usually do on school days. Except today wasn't a school day. That REALLY upset me. Anyways, today was pretty awesome because all I really did was a bit of homework and sleeping. Tonight, I went to the Blue Water Cafe with my dad's friends and it was awesome!! I got these huge short ribs and the bones were the size of my hands!!

Long Weekend

I'm really looking forward to the long weekend coming up. It's going to be full of sleeping in and relaxing. I'm kinda upset though. Today I was supposed to go to Council Bonding, but I didn't because I thought I had tutoring. It turns out, today is one of the only days I don't have tutoring and I could have gone to Council Bonding.... :((((((

Today, I worked out for an hour while I had nothing to do. I ran on the treadmill and did some weights. I'm kinda sore now but I'm sure I'll be fine tomorrow. Tomorrow is also April's Fools Day and a couple of friends and I are going to prank Allan which should be fun.

Today I received my report card. It's not very good and I think I could have done much better. My goal for this term is to make honor roll. Also, there are only 50 something days left until school ends so I have that many days to achieve my goal.

OMG!! I totally forgot that the Science Fair Registration is due TOMORROW!! If I don't hand the forms in tomorrow, IM DOOMED. Good thing my mom is driving me to H.R MacMillan Space Center tomorrow so I can hand in the forms.

Today, I unfortunately had French. I was on a streak of not going to French and if I had not gone today, it would be one and a half months that I would not be at French tutoring. First, I missed French because of the BC Winter Games, then Spring Break, then there wasn't any French that weekend and if I had missed today, I would have also missed French next week because of Easter Weekend and then I'm at the Regional Science Fair

I went and downloaded Google Chrome for a second time thinking that it would finally be able to work on my computer but it didn't. For some reason my laptop wont accept the application ever though I have the right OS. I'm kinda upset because I really like Google Chrome and I'm starting to get tired of Safari.

From the google document that I received I take it that Buskerfest is starting. I'm pretty excited about it. The only thing is that I don't want to play violin. Lately, I've really started to hate the violin, especially since Strings class is super boring. I kind of want to start a band within the Middle Years class but I don't have a bassist or a drummer that I know of so I was wondering if anyone in our grade was doing bass or drums.

TESTS

This week is full of tests. First, today I had a test on fluids in Science which was pretty easy. We also had to do a cheat sheet before the test and now we have to do a foldable on freshwater/saltwater. Then, we had a test in socials on Ancient China, which was a bit challenging but I studied so I knew almost all of it. Tomorrow, I have a test in Math, which should be pretty simple as long as I remember my calculator.

Today was one of the greatest days ever. I moved on to the regional science fair. The only bad part was that it was on the same day as the dance and it was going to take the whole day so there was no chance that I would have been able to go. Then, at my student council meeting, I was told that the dance was going to be postponed which means I can go to both!!

Today was the best day EVER! First I went snowboarding and it was snowing like crazy and the mountain was perfect. Then I saw Shaun White there and got his autograph and snowboarded with him! Then, I ended up winning this contest and I'm getting a free iPhone and $500!

Today was my cousins' birthday. One of my cousins is turning 14 and the other is turning 8. I had lots of fun at their birthday party and we did lots of fun stuff. We jumped on their trampoline and played video games and ping-pong and other stuff. One of my cousins is really good at FPS games ( first person shooter) and we were playing Modern Warfare 2 and he totally owned me. I'm not surprised because I'm not that good and I haven't played in a long time.

District Science Fair

Today I was at the District Science Fair. It was kind of a long day but I had a lot of fun. I was kind of nervous when the judges came but I pulled it together and managed to do a good job. I ended up winning and now I'm going to the regional science fair

I finally finished my hydraulic lift for science. It was really fun making it. To make the lift, Eric and I had to drink a 2L of Coca-Cola and chew 5 gum. The hardest part was trying to figure out how to make it so that when you push down on the lift the top didn't fill with water. Then, we fixed it and it works perfectly.

For science class we have to build a hydraulic lift. It's this thing that you put water into and you push down on one side and the other side goes up. Eric and I are doing the project together are all we have to do is build the lift and we're done. I finished memorizing my poem. My poem is the Road Not Take by Robert Frost. It took me a while but I did it.

Science Fair: The Return of the Science Fair

Just when you thought it was over, it comes back. I was invited to go to the District Science Fair on friday. I guess it's not a bad thing but now I have to go back and focus on my science fair project when I thought it was done and over with when I finished it for the first time.

It was back. SCHOOL. I let my guard down and it snuck up on me. It was an awesome break and I loved every part of it. It's hard to think that next year I might have 2 weeks of spring break. It would be totally awesome except that I might lose my short fridays which might not be worth the extra week of break. The dance for Churchill is coming up is going to be totally awesome. There is going to be glow paint and everything else cool at the dance and I can't wait.

March 13th: Today I watched the movie "Knowing". At first it had an amazing plot. There was a thrill around every corner. Everything made sense up until they introduced aliens. Knowing is about a piece of paper written with dates, coordinates and number of people that die in certain events. Apparently the world is supposed to end and then aliens come from the sky and take away two children. The movie in general was good, the ending - absolutely horrible.

March 14th: THE LAST DAY OF SPRING BREAK!! I was freaked the whole day knowing that tomorrow I would have to go back to school. Everybody on facebook was all like: "NOOOOOOOO! LAST DAY!" and so was I. On the brightside, I will be able to see all of my friends again. I'm also going to go see the semi-final sledge hockey game with my friend on Thursday which is going to be totally awesome.

Spring Break 2

These are my last days in Hawaii. I've been snorkeling and swimming a ton and yesterday I went and got some new runners at Foot Locker. My current ones are getting kinda small and falling apart. One of my laces is about to be ripped apart because I can see that it's down to its last few threads and I know that one of these days, I'm going to be running and it's gonna snap and I'm goind to fall. The new runners I got are totally awesome. They are black and grey and when I walk it feels like I'm walking on a cloud.

Spring Break 1

These past few days have been great. After being in a super cold environment like Terrace, a super hot environment like Hawaii is awesome. I've been swimming and snorkeling all of the time. It's nice being able to walk around in shorts, a t-shirt and flip flops at night when it would would usually be freezing. I got some really awesome skullcandy headphones here for a really good deal. I also went snorkeling in Hanauma Bay where there were a lot of fish everywhere. I almost saw some turtles but I wasn't quick enough, but maybe next time.

BC Winter Games

The BC Winter Games were amazing. I had an awesome time in Terrace even though there wasn't very much to do. My team and I were always finding stuff to do. The dance that we went to was totally awesome. There were music videos playing on the walls and a cool light show. The competition was super fun and I won a gold medal and a bronze medal. On the last day, when we were picking up our luggage it started to hail. It got really cold and if I didn't have my heavy winter jacket, I probably would have frozen to death.

Today was the last day 1 of term 2 for me!! I was sooo happy when the bell rang that I jumped up in the air and said: " Wooooot!!! LAST DAY 1!!!". Now, all that I have is one last Day 2, which is a collaborative day, and then I'm going to Terrace for the BC Winter Games!

OMG! I can't wait to go to Terrace for the BC Winter Games!! It's only 2 days until the Games and I'm totally psyched!! I have my bags packed and my plane tickets ready. Since I'm going to be sleeping in a classroom, I'm going to bring an air mattress and a sleeping bag. Man, I wish the Games were tomorrow, because I'm super excited!

Closing ceremonies

Today was the closing ceremonies of the 2010 winter Olympic games. These two weeks have gone by in a fly and I enjoyed every moment of it. From Alexandre Bilodeau winning the first gold medal for Canada in Canada to the men's hockey team beating the U.S team and winning gold. Who knows when the next Olympic games are going to be held in Canada? All I know is that I was able to witness glory at home.

New karate stuff

Today, I went downtown to go get my new karate gear for my BC Winter Games tournament in Terrace. I got new pads, and two new uniforms. I also went to Natalie's party for a bit. It was fun but I had to leave early to go to my grandparent's house for dinner. Before I left we played rock band and modern warfare and just hung out.

Today we got three medals in Speed-Skating and we beat Slovakia! Charles Hamelin won two gold medals and his brother François Hamelin won one gold medal. We won in the short track speed-skating and the short track relay. I was watching the relay and I thought that Korea was going to make a move and take over, but Canada totally boxed them out and ended up winning the gold!

Bronze Medal

Today, Joanie Rochette won bronze in figure skating. I think that it's really good that she competed even though her mother died. Even better, she won a medal. I didn't think anyone would beat Korea, as their skater was super good. It was awesome today because school started later than usual and I got to sleep in instead of having to wake up at 6:30. Tomorrow is my social studies presentation and I'm kinda nervous about it.

Today, I went on the field trip across...well I dunno, but it was pretty awesome. I got my jelly doughnut at Granville Island like I wanted to. Lonsdale Quay was pretty cool too, I liked going to the top of the tower. At YVR there was a ton of cool stuff there. There was this giant phone that actually worked! I tried making a call but it didn't work. We also won a ton of medals today. I was amazed when we swept the 2-man bobsleigh!

Today, my dad fitted me for a PPM mouthguard. It's a special mouthguard that helps athletes perform better. It's aligns your jaw so that it's in it's optimal position. I'm going to use it for the BC Winter Games tournament in Terrace. I can't wait to use it because I was trying the allignment out and I really felt the difference.

Today, my dog wasn't feeling that well. He didn't want to eat anything and all he ever did was lie around all day. Most of the time he has a great appetite, but not today. He always lies around though. I think that he is the laziest dog in the whole world. I think he misses my grand-parents because they always spoil him.

Canada lost.... I just couldn't believe it when Kesler made that one handed empty net goal. We almost had a chance to win it until then. We should have won it today except Brodeur didn't play nearly as well as he should have. I really think that if we had put in Luongo instead of Brodeur we would have won.

Curling

Today I watched the curling match between Canada and Great Britain. I don't really understand curling, but from what I got from the match, for each hammer that is closer to the middle than your opponent's you get a point. We were winning at the start, but we eventualy lost the lead and were trailing until the end. Then on the last end we had a crazy shot and ended up winning. Canada is so GREAT.

Today, Canada took another gold medal. Now we have more gold medals than any other medal. The gold was won in the Men's Skeleton by Jon Montgomery. I saw his heat and it was totally awesome. His best time was 52s and it was good enough to beat everyone. He beat Dukurs by 7 one hundredths of a second, which was again, really close. Hopefully we can keep this streak going, and end up getting the highest total of medals.

CANADA WON GOOOLD!! WOOOOT! Christie Nesbitt was the third canadian to win a gold medal in the 1000m long track speed skating. I couldn't believe it, but she won by 2 one hundredths of a second! She was trailing at the start, but she pulled it together to win. Unlike the Canadians, who had to struggle to beat the Swiss. I didn't think that the Swiss were even a threat, but I guess they were...

Today I got my student council shirt. I always kept forgetting my money but this time I remembered. The shirt is pretty cool. It's black and has neon green lettering on the back that days grade rep. There is also a white bulldog on the front and it is comfy.

Today I finally did my Greek god presentation for English class. I've been dreading it because I hate going up to speak in front of people especially with a funny costume. I finally did it and I think that I did pretty well. No mistakes and I remembered all of the stuff. I was Hades and I think that my costume was pretty cool. I had a two pronged fork which was pretty cool.

Today I finally saw Avatar. At first I was a bit skeptical about seeing it, because I thought it would just be a cheap knock-off of other good action animation movies. Then, after hearing everybody say how good it wa, I figured it would be worth a shot. I ended up seeing it in 3-D, and I have to say - it was pretty good. The graphics were amazing and the plot was really good too. The 3-D effects were awesome too.

Today was Day 3 of the Olympic Winter Games. Finally, Canada won our first gold medal. Alexandre Bilodeau won it for us in the Men's Mogul. I saw it on tv and I was super excited. I was kind of worried that the French skier would take first place, but he ended up messing up one of his jumps and lost a lot of marks for it. Today was also Chinese New Years and I went to a party with my family and it was really fun.

Today was Day 2 of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. I watched the Women's Mogul, the Men's 5000m Speed-Skating, the Men's regular Ski Jump and Women's Hockey. My favorite of today was the Speed-Skating. Sven Kramer, the winner of the 5000m Speed-Skating, won the 100th gold medal for the Netherlands and broke an Olympic Record. He was super good and made the other competitors race for 2nd place.

Today was the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic winter games. The opening ceremonies were AMAZING!! I watched almost the whole thing, the only thing that I missed was when the Olympians walked into BC Place. I especially liked all of the projections coming from the ceiling. I thought that it was revolutionary and totally original. I think that the olympic games are going to be the best yet and I'm going to try to watch as many events as I can.

Science Fair: The Real End

Today, was the day of the Science Fair at school. I couldn't actually believe that Science Fair was finally over. For 4 months, all of us have been stressing out, freaking out and throwing a spaz. Now, we can finally relax...OH WAIT! THAT'S RIGHT! WE STILL HAVE ANOTHER 2 PROJECTS FOR ENGLISH AND SOCIALS!! I guess us Synergy kids can never relax...I guess that's why we're in this program.

Greek Myths

Today, I finished my costume for my Greek Mythology project. For English class, everyone was supposed to research a Greek God, present to the class some stuff about that God and dress up like him/her. I did the God, Hades. Hades is the God of the Underworld so my costume is black and red. I have a cape and a black helmet and I made a two-pronged fork for my weapon. I almost can't wait to do my presentation.

Today is the greatest day ever...until next year rolls around. Well, anyways today I finally finished my science fair. I was soo happy because now I can focus on the rest of the projects that teachers in my other subjects have given me. In other news, today was course planning and I decided to take foods 10 next year, because what's better than making food at school? Also, my Facebook layout finally changed and I don't really like it because they took out a lot of things that I thought were useful.

Today, I worked some more on my science fair project. I'm done all of the writing so now all that I have to do is glue everything onto my presentation board. I also worked on my greek mythology project. I have my costume all ready to go and I'm nearly done memorizing my script. I don't think that I'm going to be presenting tomorrow, but just in case, I'm getting prepared. The only thing I need to find is my brother's skeleton shirt because I'm Hades God of the Underworld so I need a skeleton minion. If I can't find the shirt, I'll just make one out of paper.

Today, I was working on my science fair project again. I looked over all the results to make sure that everything checked out, which it did. So, then I wrote up my abstract and what I'm going to put on the posterboard during the science fair. It's been pretty difficult but I'm almost done and now the only thing that I have to do is to glue all of the stuff onto the posterboard. Man, I can't wait for the Science Fair to be over.

Science Fair

Today, I finished up my science fair experiment. My topic for the science fair is whether or not a higher salt vs. water concentration creates more hydrogen in the process of electrolysis. It took me a while to figure out the setup for the experiment because the hydrogen wouldn't always go into the tube. In the end, I finally managed to do it and (with the help of an adult) blew up the hydrogen. The first time it really freaked me out but it was really cool.

Awesome English class

Today was what might be the greatest English class ever. First, since it was a Friday class, all the classes were 1 hour. Then, when the class walked into Mrs.Greskiw's class, she told us to go and read. We ended up reading for about 20 minutes, which took up a lot of the class time. Then Mr.Olson walked into our class and ended up giving us this permission slip for a really cool field trip. The rest of the time we wasted was pretty much whatever so all we did was watch 2 presentations for the whole English class.

BC Winter Games

Today, I had a meeting about my BC Winter Games tournament in Terrace. It sounds really fun because my team and I get to do a ton of cool stuff like have a dance, a pool party and other stuff. Today was a Collaborative Day. The best part is I DIDN'T FORGET! Usually I forget and end up waking up super early, like I usually do, walk out the door, get on the bus and realize: Hey! No wonder no one is here! IT'S A COLLABORATIVE DAY! This time I set up a bunch of reminders around my house and on my computer and my iPod and stuff so I wouldn't forget. Another bad thing is when I set my alarm late for a collab day and end up waking up late the next day. Man. I really hate that.

Gymnastics test

Today, I did my gymnastics routine in gym. I was practicing last night and I managed to do it well during class. My gym teacher thought that it was really good and that I did some moves that the other kids couldn't. I ended up getting 56/63 which, if I did my math right, means that I got 88.8% which is an A!

Grammy's

Today, I watched the Black Eyed Peas' performance again. It was really good and I think that it was the best of the night. I really liked how they transitioned from their song "Imma Be" to their other song "I Gotta Feeling". The Black Eyed Peas are my favorite group right now and I like almost all of their songs. I can't believe that they didn't get the Album of the Year award and I'm pretty sure that they got ripped off.

LOCKERZ

Today I finally got my Z-List status on Lockerz. In case you don't know, LOCKERZ is an website where you can participate in polls and other stuff to get points. You can then redeem the points for free stuff like televisions, iPods, headphones and other cool stuff. I'm at 70 something points and if I can get 130 more, I can get some really awesome headphones. Since I have Z-List status I can get there even faster.

Dinner Party

Today, my parents had a dinner party with a few of their friends which meant I could play video games all night. Unfortunately, I also had to take care of my brother before I could actually start playing my video games. At first my brother was ok, but when it was time to actually go to bed he got really annoying and refused to go upstairs to go to sleep, which meant more video game time being eaten up.

Gymnastics

Today in gym I almost had to do my gymnastics routine. I was really scared because I never actually memorized my routine and I just finished it today. I didn't know that we were going to have to present it today so I didn't bring my routine plan home to practice. I was lucky that my gym teacher cut me a break and didn't make me present. Unfortunately, the gymnastics moves in my routine are really hard and my whole body is sore.

Skit

Today in social studies we were assigned to do a skit. We are working in groups of five and we are going to present on Friday. We were actually supposed to present today but too many of us weren't ready because he only gave us 20 minutes to prepare. My group is Zoe, Natalie, Gavin, Jamie and I. Our skit is set in a classroom and it's about two teachers teaching the kids about the famous people in Islam. I hope it's going to be good.

iPad

Today, Apple came out with their new piece of technology, the iPad. I've been waiting a long time for this tablet to come out because I really wanted to see what it was all about. It looks really cool with it's 10 inch screen. In fact, it looks just like a really really big iPhone. I don't really want to get one other than for reading books on it because I think that I would find it too big and bulky.

Jailbreak

Today I finally managed to jailbreak my iPod. I've been trying to do it with blackra1n, this program I found that does jailbreaking. Today I found the secret to doing it. I had problems with doing it before but know I actually did it. Now I can customize the screen layout because the original one is really ugly and I don't like it. I really like the new themes that you can get on it.

Gymnastics

Today in gym I finally did some of the gymnastic moves that I didn't use to be able to do. I was able to do a round off, a bridge from standing, a scissor jump and some other stuff. I was really happy because now I have tested on enough stuff to be able to start to create my routine. I don't really want to do the routine because I have a feeling that I'm going to seize up and forget the moves I planned to do and end up failing.

Provincial tournament

Today, I had my provincial karate tournament. I qualified for it in December and I was really excited about it. The tournament was at BCIT, which is a location that I go to often for karate tournaments. This time I only qualified for form and not fighting because i didn't want to do it, and my toe was messed up at the time. I won gold in my form, defeating the Pan-American champion for my age group. The next step for me is preparing for the BC Winter Games in Terrace.

Growth

Today, my dad showed me this clip on youtube. He's called Chris Martenson and he talks about how all the problems our Earth is facing is due to population growth. I found it really interesting. I like the part when he talks about exponential growth. He talks about how if you were at Fenway park and there was a drop of water dropping onto the pitcher's mound once every minute, and every minute the number of drops multiply. How long would it take for the park to fill up? It would take 49 minutes and you would only notice the water growing at the 44 minute mark. It's the same with population growth, every year the number of people multiplies and it's draining our resources. New phone

Date: January 22nd, 2010

Today I got my new phone. Since my old phone got broken when I went snowboarding, I had to either repair it or get a new one. Since repairing the phone would be really expensive, I decided to get a less expensive phone. My new phone isn't as nice as my old one but I'm still really happy just to have a phone. It's a flip phone which is nice because now I won't have to worry about the screen getting damaged like my old one.

Early dismissal

Today was early dismissal because of the parent teacher conferences. I was happy because then I can go home and do nothing for an extra hour. I went to my grandparent's house afterschool instead of tomorrow because my mom is going to the parent teacher conferences. I also learned that my french tutoring class is going to have another person, one of Zoe's friends from Brittania. I'm sure it will be even more fun now.

Today I didn't do anything that was special. All I did was go to japanese school and then go to karate and do homework. Today was really boring and I can't wait for the pro-d day on Friday when I'm going to play Modern Warfare 2 all day with Ronald.

Today, I went to Eric's house to do a science experiment. Our group was me, Eric and Edward. Mrs.Smedley said to find out what the density of the human body is. It took a really long time to do. We had to fill up a bathtub with 100L and then I had to go in to see how much water I displaced. It turns out that my volume is 28L. Then we had to calculate to find out the density. We found that the density is a little over 1 g/cm3.

Debit card

Date: January 18th, 2010

Today, my debit card finally came in the mail. I applied for it a week ago and now it's finally here. It looks really cool. It's all shiny and it has my name on it nad everything. I got it from RBC which is where my mom used to work and where she banks now. I've been asking for a debit for a long time and now I finally got it. I wanted one because I wanted to be able to carry around a lot of money without my parents being worried I was going to get mugged.

Sound system

Today, my dad and I set up a sound system for our living room television. We hooked it up to the playstation we have so that when we play modern warfare 2 it'll be really crazy. It took a long time though. We couldn't figure out how to make the sound come out of all the speakers. We finally had to reset the tv settings to allow for audio speakers and do the same for the ps3. It took a long time but it was totally worth it. When we watch movies the sound is amazing.

X-Men

Today, I watched X-Men Origins. I didn't really remember the plot so it was like watching the whole movie again for the first time. The storyline is really good. The main character Wolverine is really good in his part. There is a special mutant team which specializes in killing people. And at the end, there is this super bad guy who has a ton of powers. He was supposed to be a military weapon but Wolverine and his brother end up killing him.

Movies

Date: January 15th, 2010

Today my parents got two blu-ray movies. One of them was X-Men Origins. I saw that movie in theaters and I really liked it. I also got Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. My whole family likes the Harry Potter Series. We have all the books and the movies so far. Tomorrow we are going to watch one of them and on Sunday the other. The discs also came with two digital copies so I can put them on my iPod.

Finished a scarf

Today I finished my first scarf. It took a while but I finally finished one. I'm going to keep this one because it's my first one and know I can say I can actually knit ( kinda ). It's a plain blue one with a plain garter stitch. It's not that magnificent but I think it's awesome. It feels good knowing I'm doing something good for someone in need. I would like to know whether I'm knitting for kids the same age as me or like young kids. Do you know?

Remember the name

Today I got addicted to this awesome song called: "Remember the Name" by this underground hip hop group called Fort Minor. The song has been featured in a lot of action movies like the new Karate Kid movie. I've heard the song before but I never knew what it was called. I've been listening to it all day. I find it really inspirational especially the chorus. My parents don't like the song but they don't like anything that's new music or anything of genuine greatness.

NEW SHOES

Date: January 12th, 2010

Today I got some new shoes. I like shoes a lot but my parents don't like me getting a lot of pair of shoes so when I do I get really excited. I got new shoes from NIKE at Oakridge because they were having a big sale and I got them at half price. They're black and have fuzzy stuff at the top of the heel. They are high-tops which are my first pair. I got my friend Jonathan Frydman to help me pick them out because he was at Oakridge too.

My phone is still busted... :(

Date: January 11th, 2009

Today, I woke up to go look at my phone to see if it was fixed after I tried drying it out. It's still really messed up even after I let it dry. I looked up to see what was wrong with my phone and apparently, it has a bleeding screen. That means that the LCD screen is cracked on the inside and all the liquids are flowing out of it. The liquid isn't flowing out of the phone it just kind of looks like that. I'm going to have to go to the solo mobile store tomorrow to see what I can do.

Snowboarding

Today I went snowboarding with my friends. We went to Grouse Mountain. We all snowboard so we could all stock together. We wen down all of the blue runs and on one of them I totally bailed and it was a really steep run. I was rolling down really fast and I couldn't stop and I was really freaking out. I finally stopped when I hit a snowbank and flipped up. I had a ton of fun with my friends today and I can't wait to go boarding again.

Hockey game LIVE

Today I went to the Canucks vs. Flames game. It was really exciting and I was really pumped. I was cheering for Calgary because they are my favorite team and they're the best. I knew that the Flames would have won and of course, they did. Whenever the Flames scored I stood up in my seat and cheered, while everybody around me looked at me like I had a fatal sickness, which being a Flames fan in Vancouver, might as well be one.

Karate tournament

Today, I had a karate tournament in Stevston. It was an invitational tournament so there were American kids competing there too. There were a lot of really good competitors there so I had a tough time. I almost won gold but there was a rule that if the other competitor scored a score higher than you, even if you tie, he still wins. I was kinda upset about that but I didn't let it get to me. Then, I fought an American kid and he beat me really bad.

Diet

Today I learned a horrible thing. I have to be on a diet. I don't really have to be but I choose to go on a diet because of my karate. I want to stay in the lightweight division for fighting so I don't have to fight kids twice my size. I have a big tournament coming up and I'm over the weight limit so I need to start losing weight. I'm not really worried because I'm only 0.7 kg over the limit and the tournament is 2 months away so I have lots of time.

I suck at knitting

Today I realized something. I suck at knitting. I have gotten a couple lessons from my mom about knitting a couple of days ago so I thought I would have actually not have screwed up so much, but of course I did. I'm ok at casting off but when it gets to the first row I always mess up and since you can't fix the first row I'm stuck. Well like you said: "you're not learning to ride a bike if you're not falling off".

Canada lost

Today one of the saddest things in the history of sports happened. The Canadian Juniors lost in the finals. Never in my lifetime has this happened. I was so upset when I first heard it that I yelled out in anger. They would have won if the goalie hadn't totally sucked. He let in a ton of goals and got pulled. I guess he was under pressure and he choked or something. The USA goalie didn't do that well either so I have no idea why we didn't win. I guess there is always next year...

Knitting

Today, I learned that I was supposed to knit scarves for homeless children. I think that it's a great idea and I was excited to do it. My mom is really into knitting so I figured I could get some tips from her. She also has a ton of patterns that I can do. I've tried doing knitting before and I didn't like it. Since I'm doing it for others who are less fortunate I make more of an effort to like it.

Deluxe Blog 2

Date: December 29th-31st 2009 - January 1-3 2010

Well here is another Deluxe Blog. This blog is for Tuesday to Sunday. On Tuesday I didn't really do anything. As usual I went to my grandparent's house for dinner. On Wednesday, I played Modern Warfare a ton. I was having a ton of fun playing online matches with my friends and other people. I also played some missions with my dad. He likes the game a lot too, almost as much as me. On Thursday, I went over to my dad's friend's house for a New Years Eve party. My dad's friend always cooks a really good dinner. This time we had sushi, curry and chicken. Then at midnight, we all watched the Dick Clark New Years Special and we watched all the performances by people like the Black Eyed Peas, Jennifer Lopez and Chris Daughtry. On Friday, I went to my relative's house for New Years Dinner. I played video games and played cards and stuff like that. On Saturday, I was going to go Richmond Center with some other Synergy kids but I couldn't go because I was going to dinner with my parent's friends so I wouldn't have enough time to go see the movie. When went to their house I played more video games. Today, I went to my friend's house and enjoyed the last day of my freedom until reality comes and slaps me in the face. We played video games and went to the park and played with a frisbee and played some cards. This was a fun winter break!
