Date: December 24th - 28th, 2009
This is a blog for five days since I was at a lot of parties and got back really late so I didn't feel like blogging so I'm making up for it now. On the 24th, I went to my aunt's house. She cooked a huge dinner and it was great. I played video games with my cousins and afterwards I opened up presents with everybody ad I got some cool stuff like some gift cards and money. We go back around 12:00 so I was super tired and went to bed right away. The next day was Christmas. I opened up my stocking to see what Santa had brought me and it was Band Hero. I love those music video games so I was really happy when I saw I got it. After that, I went to go open up my presents I got from my family. From my cousins I got some t-shirts, an RC plane and some money. Then I went to my grandparents house to have brunch and open up more presents. I got a shirt and some money. Later that day I went to a different aunt's house for another Christmas dinner and there I played more video games with my cousins. I went home around 12:00 again. Then it was Boxing Day. I didn't do much other than sleep that day to make up for all the sleep that I lost going to those late night parties. I didn't do any shopping mainly because of the long lines and the fact that I didn't camp out overnight. On the 27th, I went shopping. It's kind of like the smart-people Boxing Day because all the stores have almost the same deals without the long lineups. I went to EB Games and bought Modern Warfare 2. I was waiting for forever to get this game and now i finally did. I played a bit but my dad played more. He stayed up all night playing the campaign mode and now we're almost finished it. Today, I'm going to organize all the recycling so we can bring it down and trade it in for money.

Transformers

Happy Christmas Eve Eve Mr.Olson! Today I got Transformers 1 and 2 on Blu-Ray. They're my favorite movies of all time. The second one was the best if you ask me but everyone else says the first was the best. The plot in the second movie was a lot more interesting but the first movie's plot was good too. I'm going to watch both today in a movie marathon so that should be fun.

Snowboarding.....NOOOOOOT! AGAIIN! :(((

Today I was supposed to go snowboarding. Sadly, once again I did not go. Today I thought it would be the perfect day to go up to Grouse except for one thing. My parents were working. Because of that, there was no one to drive me to and forth from the mountain. I was really expecting to go today but I guess I'll have to wait some more.

Last day of karate
Date: December 21st, 2009
Today is the last day of karate for me. Now I can totally chill out and do absolutely nothing for the rest of winter break. So far over my winter break I have been sleeping until my dog runs up and starts licking my face. It's really annoying because it's all peaceful in my room, no noise at all, then out of nowhere something jumps on my face and starts licking it. And my parents wonder why I'm always in such a bad mood when I wake up.

Today, I was supposed to go snowboarding with my friends except it was raining and my parents and friends were to wuss to come up. I was going to go up with one friend who was not a wuss and shred with me but my mom said : "NO WAY". I've been dying to hit the slopes and I hoped that I could start off my break with a good time. Unfortunately that didn't happen. I guess I'll have to wait for better weather.

Today is saturday. I'm not going to anything today. I don't want to do anything today, but I have to go to karate and my french lessons. LAST DAY
Date: THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!
Today was the last day of school. It was awesome. All of our periods were 40 minutes so we were done our classes at 12:00 and then we went to the assembly. I got to dance and stuff because I am on student council. I also got to throw candy canes at the crowd which was my favorite part. I got to see Bruce and the Bulldogs for the first time and I have to say they're pretty good. My strings teacher plays the saxophone and I didn't know he did that so it was pretty cool.

Last Day 1

Today is the last Day 1 of 2009 and it's the Synergy Christmas party. The party was totally awesome. Everyone got half a bottle of pop and half a bag of chips each! There was so much food the SY8's brought the leftover food to Mr.Sale's party and ate some there too. At his party we watched Twilight Zone and played cards. I was so happy that I kept a bag of microwave popcorn in my locker because I ate it today and it was good.

Square Dancing test

Today is the square dancing test. I think I'm going to fail because I hate square dancing and I suck at it too. I always end up using the wrong hand or spinning the wrong way or something like that. Whenever I see the teacher coming I try too smile but I always end up frowning. I don't know what's wrong with me. I think it's because the thing I'm doing is so totally ridiculous and stupid my body automatically puts me in a bad mood.

Winter concert

Tonight I had my winter concert at Churchill. I felt kind of bummed because the junior orchestra only got to play 2 songs while the other music programs played 3-4 songs. On the note of music ( music pun :p) the song we listened to in Applied Skills was really cool. I love all the music you've been showing us. I'm not sure but does this have anything to do with us busking? I know a few SY9's and they did that too so I'm wondering if we're going to do that too?

AAAAAH!

Today I went to school. Yeah, that's right I went to school. Even though I have a broken toe. It kind of hurt today but it was really sore. I wasn't so keen on going to school but I had to do the Hot Chocolate day for student council. It was a big success. Then, after that, I went to gym class to do square dancing. I thought that since I had a broken toe my gym teacher would let me sit out. Nope, not a chance. Hopefully my foot will feel better tomorrow but I hope even more that it's going to be a SNOW DAY!!! :)

Medals

Today I had my karate tournament. I won a bronze medal in kata ( a sequence of moves pre-set) another gold in kata and a bronze in kumite ( sparring against another opponent). I qualified for a competition called the BC Winter Games an event for all 12-13 year olds to compete in. I also broke my toe. It hurts. A lot. Also, I had to do some of my events on my broken toe which wasn't very fun at all. Hopefully it will heal.

Karate party

Today there was a Christmas Party at my karate club. There was pizza, pop, candy and lots of other stuff. We also had a gift exchange where we all bought little presents and traded them with each other. Also I'm having dinner at my house with a few of my dad's friends. We're having fish, steak and chicken and some other stuff to celebrate a birthday or something so I've been cleaning and stuff.

La buca

Today I went to La Buca , some restaurant in the middle of nowhere. It's an Italian restaurant but it wasn't actually an Italian restaurant. It was kind of weird because we were all sharing the food instead of having separate meals. It was kind of like an Asian restaurant because of that. The food was pretty good but since there was a lot of people I didn't get much to eat.

Dentist appointment

Today I went to the dentist's office for an impression for my mouthguard. I do karate and I'm going to a tournament on saturday for a provincial qualifier so I need to have a mouthguard if I'm going to fight. I'm sooo excited about this tournament because this year I'm old enough to do the BC Winter Games which is for 12-13 year olds and if I qualify I get to go all the way to Terrace. It's a long bus ride so I don't know how I'm going to occupy myself.

I listened to One Love like you told me to and know I really like it. You know that feeling when you like a song and then you play the song like a million times and then you get sick of it? Well I'm at the 459,387 play mark but I still like it and now I have it on my iPod. Bob Marley is one of my favorite artists so I'm surprised that I've never heard that song before. Thanks again for showing me it.

Google Chrome

Today Google Chrome for Mac came out! I'm so happy because I've been waiting for 5 months for it to come out and it finally did! I'm a Mac so I can't use any good browsers other than Firefox (Safari is letting me down :( ) so I can't surf the web quickly. The only problem is that when I tried to open it I got this: You cannot open the application “Google Chrome” because it is not supported on this architecture. That's really really sad. I guess I'll have to wait to see how to fix this.

Council meeting

Today, at the council meeting, we had a discussion of what we were going to do for Winter Week, which is going on next week. We came up with hot chocolate day on monday and some other stuff. I'm going to be helping out for hot chocolate day. Oh yeah! I forgot! Tomorrow I'm going to be helping with The Canned Food Drive first block which means......I MISS SQUARE DANCING!!! :)

Today I got a new printer. My parents are always getting mad at me because I use up all the paper in our other printer so they got me my own. I keep telling them it's not my fault, it's the teacher's for assigning so many projects. I think I'm going to put the printer in my room so I don't have to run all the way downstairs to go get the copy. Now, all I have to do is walk up to my room press the button on my computer and Voila! Done.

Staying over

Today my parents are going to a staff party. So, because of that, I'm staying over at my grandparent's house. I like going to their house because they always have lots of candy for me to eat and other junkfood. My dog likes it there too. Pacific Center

Today I went to Pacific Center. Sadly, I didn't have any money to spend there so I was basically window-shopping. I saw a couple of shirts I liked at American Eagle but they were $50 so there was no way I could afford them. There was also a clock radio that charges iPods that I like but it was about $100 so I didn't even bother to stay longer to look at it because that would have just made me want it more.

Today during applied skills class we picked the people for secret santa. I'm not sure what to get the person I pulled from the hat but apparently that person likes ninjas and the color green. I think I'll go to London Drugs or Wal-Mart or something to get the person a present. I wonder who's getting me a present and what?

Radio play

Today my group and I recorded our radio broadcast for science class. It was really funny because Ian, played the part of a field reporter in Hong Kong. He had this really realistic Chinese accent so it was pretty funny. We were supposed to record it early at school because it was a collab day, but Ronald couldn't get his butt out of bed so we had to record it at lunch.

Winter

Happy 1st of December! Now it's cold, icy and all around miserable. How exhilarating! I like the winter season but whenever I go outside my fingers get all cold and I lose all the movement in them. Although, I do get to throw snowballs and make snowmen and do lots of other snow-related activities. The best part is whenever it snows a lot my best friend and I try to make a giant snowball to see if we can cross over to my neighbor's yard. So far we haven't succeeded but I think that this year will be the one.

Square dancing

Today, in gym, we had to do square dancing. It was horrible. I hated it. The worst thing is - I have to do it again next wednesday. I don't think that I can take it anymore. It was the worst thing I've ever done. But there are some good things like we don't have to run laps and we don't have to wear P.E strip. It would actually be bearable if we didn't have to hold hands with people with sweaty and clammy ones.

Today I logged onto my computer and went on gmail to find this: zoe's gmail account already signed in. Naturally I sent an email to some of my friends as Zoe, as a joke of course. Then when I went to do this blog I saw that she hadn't signed out of that either. So I left comments as her on my friend's blogs too. I wonder what she's going to do to me tomorrow? If I learned anything from this it's that you should always sign out your email account if you signed on at your friend's house.

Today all i've been doing is homework. I did the foldable drawing for Ms.Smedley, I had to do a collage for Ms.Greskiw and then I had to finish all of my Day 2 homework. Filming

Today my group and I filmed our movie for french. The movie is about an explorer who travels to an uknown planet and meets two aliens. She doesn't know it but one of the two aliens wants to eat her but the other one is trying to stop the other from succeding. In one scene we had the explorer getting drunk and ends up accidentaly killing herself. Then, one of the aliens gets mad because of that and ends up killing the second alien. In the end the third alien kills himslef because he killed the other alien.

Ipod case and Stache day

Today was 'Stache day. It was an event put on by student council to raise awareness about prostate cancer. At lunch we sold lots of fake mustaches to whoever wanted them, and gave all the proceeds to the prostate awareness organization or something. Also, after school, I went to Pacific Center and got a new Ipod case for my ipod. It's black and it's really cool because it comes with all this extra stuff like a micro-fiber cloth, a stand for it and some screen protectors.

Indoor track meet

Today was the indoor track meet for all the grade 8's. I was on the Red team which won with a score of 117 points. It was really fun but boring at the start because all my events were at the end of the track meet. I did the paddle-ball relay, the wheel-barrow relay with Allan, and the circle relay. Of all the events I participated in, 2 out 3 times we won. I had a great time and I can't wait for the outdoor track meet in May!

Flu shot

Today, it finally caught up to me. My flu shots. I thought that my parents had forgotten about them but of course they didn't. So. I went to the doctor's office today to get my H1N1 flu shot. Then, out of the blue, my mom decided that I should get the seasonal flu shot too. You see, this term in science we learned that the seasonal flu shot only prevents certain strains from attacking your body and some can still harm you. Well, my mom didn't care about anything we learned in science so I had to get two shots today.

Track meet training

Today my gym class went through all the events for the indoor track meet that the grade 8's do. Some of the events are kind of lame, but a few of them look pretty cool. The event I really want to get into is the circle relay. It's when you run around the gym in a circle and then around the line of 6 people ( which is the rest of your team) and then hand off the baton to the next person in line. I can't wait for the track meet.

Today, I didn't do anything at all. Although I saw this clip on youtube clip of these two people called Andy and Hamish who made up this sport called personal space invading or "ghosting". Babysitting

Today I was looking at my blog and I saw that all the dates for my blog were messed up. Sorry if I caused you any confusion. Well, anyways today I have to get babysat by my uncle. He's really only babysitting my brother and making sure that I don't set the house on fire. My brother is a bit of a handfull so I'm not sure if my uncle will be able to handle him for a whole night. If he needs it I'll help him but if you just put my brother to sleep really early he just goes to bed and we don't have to deal with him.

Hanging out

Today I had a couple of friends over to my house. We all hung out and ate nachos and stuff. Later on we played mini-soccer down in my basement. It was pretty intense. After that, my cousin came over and we went out to dinner to this Japanese place. The food was pretty good and it was a pretty cool place. After that I stayed up and played rock band until well....now. It's my favorite game but now I'm really tired and am going to bed.

Why?

Today is the premiere of the movie New Moon. All my friends that are girls are all talking about his they're going to go watch it at midnight or stuff like that. I saw part of the first movie at a party and it wasn't even that good. I can't imagine how bad the second one is going to be because in series like these, the second is always the worst. All the reviews say it's really bad and I'm sure it is. Everyone is saying that it's the new Harry potter but that series was the best and no one will ever top that.

The Pearl project

Today I found out that our english class has to do a project on the Pearl a book we read. My partner, Eric and I, are doing a musical composure to represent the songs that the main character is always hearing. He is going to play the violin and I'm going to play the piano. I don't really know how to play the piano but I can play the violin so I know the basic stuff. I already started how the melody is going to and it sounds pretty good.

Flu Shot

Today I was supposed to get my flu shots but they ran out of the vaccine and I didn't have to get it. I was really relieved and happy because I really hate shots. I guess it wouldn't be good if I got the swine flu or the seasonal flu. The flu shots don't really hurt but it's the idea of a needle going through my skin which I don't like. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to go get it next week so I haven't avoided my shots yet.

Wifi for synergy

Today, Edward, Steven and I all went to your classroom afterschool. We hatched a plan to convince the board of education to allow us to use the wifi system you bought. Edward and I have been alerting the rest of the Synergy kids of this idea. They seem very keen on doing this and I think that they will write letters and sign petitions. If we all band together we might be able to do this. Though we may only be gr.8's I still think that they may consider this. Mr.Olson if you could reply to this with the names of the people we must write the letters to that would be awesome! Thanks!

Today I'm making a website for my dad. He's a dentist and he wants me to make a website for this contest he's putting on. It's called Make Your Mother Smile. What happens is people send in emails about their moms and how nice they are and the 20 best get posted on the website. Then the people vote on which of the 20 are the best and the one with the most votes gets a $25,000 smile makeover. The winner will be announced on Mother's day. Oh yeah, I'm getting paid $100 to make it which is pretty sweet.

Karate workshop

Today, I had a super long karate class. It was a workshop for all the senior ranked members. It went on for about 2 hours and then we had a black belt test where all the brown belts could test for their black belts. It took long and the only reason I stayed was because my two friends were going for theirs. I already got mine so I didn't need to tryout. The workshop was fun but it was really tiring and I'm really sore now. I'm sure glad it's a pro-d day tomorrow.

Birthday cake

Today, I'm going to my dad's friend's house for my mom's birthday. We're bringing an really nice neopolitan cake. It has vanilla, raspberries and chocolate. I saw a picture of it and it looks really tasty. My dad's friend is a really good cook. Everytime I go to his house I always get treated to a really good meal. I'm pretty sure he likes cake so I'm sure he'll like the neopolitan cake. I can't wait to go.

No more big projects

After today, I have no more big projects to do for school. I finished my pictograph for Mr.Sale, the chapter 1 test for Ms.Smedley is done and I did my presentation on aviation for you. I can finally stop freaking out and start relaxing a bit. I can finally dust off my playstation which I barely got to play this term. I still get homework but not nearly as much as I had in October and it is a relief.

Block rotation

Today was block rotation and it really screwed me up. I got to first period on time but other than that I was totally confused. I was almost late for my French class because I thought it was time for math. I don't know why they have block rotation? I don't see how it benefits us. Now I have gym first period and it gets really tiring. Also, I have math last block and it's my most boring subject. My teacher always gives us a ton if homework and it's really annoying.

Remembrance day

Today is Remembrance Day and my mom's birthday. My mom has been bugging me that it's a Pro-D day because her birthday is a national holiday. We went to breakfast with my parents to Ihop. It's my mom's favorite place to eat breakfast. I really like the pancakes there because they are light and fluffy. I also like how there are all kinds of syrups to put on the pancakes. I ate lots there and now I'm at home trying to figure out how to get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Tomorrow is my mom's birthday. We had dinner at my grandparent's house to celebrate. It was a really big dinner and it tasted really good. My grand-parents made a coffee-chocolate cake because it's my mom's favorite. Afterwards, we watched the movie UP. I saw it in theaters and it was really funny. The second time I saw it was even funnier because I saw all the little things I missed when I saw it in the theaters.

Today my mom got her car cleaned. When she came home with a super cool new car, I thought she had traded in her old lame one for a better one. Unfortunately, she didn't. Her car has that new car smell now. Come to think of it, I don't even know what the new car smell smells like. Well anyways, it's all clean and doesn't have any crumbs or garbage that my brother leaves in the back seat anymore. It's like a brand new car!

I made a facebook group a couple of days ago. It's been doing pretty well with about 71 members in 4 days. I made myself, another grade rep and a couple of other friends admins because it's mainly a grade 8 group for churchill. I think people are interested in it because everyone is posting on the Wall of the page. It's good because it will let everybody know what kind of stuff is coming up and all the details about them.

Narnia

I just finished watching Narnia: Prince Caspian. It was a pretty good movie but I fell asleep halfway through so it couldn't be that good. I never read the book so I don't know how it goes but I'm sure they made a lot of changes like any other book made movie. The costumes were really good though. All the creatures looked really believable and cool. I'm pretty tired now so I think I'll go to bed.

Uncle from australia

Today my uncle came home from Australia. He was staying there for about four years and now he finally decided to come back. He was really tired from his flight. He had been flying on the plane for about a full day. It was really funny because when he came back from the plane he was wearing shorts! He seemed really cold because it was summer in Australia.

Microphone stand

Today my mom bought a microphone stand for this video game called rock band. It's a really fun game where you play musical instruments like the guitar, bass, drums and vocals. Now that we have a microphone stand I can sing and play the guitar which can get more points. I tried it out when I came home and it was really fun. The only bad part is when I'm playing the guitar and singing I can't look at the lyrics so I have to commit them to memory. Other than that it's super awesome!

Wiped laptop

Today I got my laptop wiped so I had more memory. It used to be my parent's so when they gave it to
me it had a lot of documents taking up memory that I needed. A couple days ago my dad took the computer to a shop to get it erased. Today I finally got it back and it's a lot faster and works better. The bad part is that all the applications that I downloaded were erased in the process. All in all I'm really glad that my laptop is better.

Coming home from Australia

Today I learned that my uncle was coming home from Australia. He was there for about 2 years until he decided he wanted to come back to Vancouver. He is really cool and I like hanging out with him. He's coming home this friday and I can't wait. My little brother is really excited too. He always plays games with him and is really nice.

Stay at home day

This morning I felt really sick. I think I ate something bad at the party yesterday or got a stomach flu or something. I didn't feel like I had any energy at all. I ate lots of applesauce and congee ( rice soup). I played on my Ipod a lot and listened to music all day. I took at least 3 naps but I'm still tired. I'm starting to feel better so I think I'll be able to go to school tomorrow. At least I hope so or when I come back I'll have a ton of homework!

Today I went to a belated Halloween party. It was pretty fun and we watched scary movies. The movie we watched was called the Blair Witch Project. It wasn't very scary and it didn't make any sense. Maybe if I had actually listened to the commentary I would have enjoyed it more. I ate lots of candy and popcorn too. I don't really want to go to school tomorrow but at least I get and extra hour of sleep!

Halloween fireworks

Tonight was the first halloween that I did fireworks. My family and I did it at a baseball park near my house. It was really cool and lots of fun. The last fireworks were HUGE. They shot up 25 meters with lots of bangs and booms. There were some little ones we bought but they weren't that exciting. There was one that exploded 20 meters up with lots of colors and it was really cool. I hope I can do it next year and I can't wait for the next Halloween!

Halloween Dance

Yesterday was the Halloween Dance but I got home really late so I'm doing it today. As you know, last night was the Halloween dance at churchill. It was the best dance I've ever went to. The only part I didn't like was the cleanup we had to do. It took a really long time and my feet were really sore. There was a haunted house which was a new addition to the Halloween Dance this year. There was also a fog machine and a really killer sound system. I invited a few friends from other schools but the other kids on Student Council never told me about a guest pass I had to fill out in order for my friends to come to our dance. Mr. Davis got sort of mad at me because we were only allowed to bring one guest and I brought three. I wish Student Council would have warned me...

All the characters were Prince Charming, Cinderella and a Policeman. I was the police man who was bossing around Cinderella because she was drunk. Everybody laughed when they saw a little grade 8 pushing around a grade twelve.

Canucks game

Tonight was the Canucks game against the Detroit red wings. It was a really back and forth game, especially in the third period. I thought he Canucks might have won but the Canucks took to many bad penalties. The detroit red wings scored quite a few powerplay goals. I think that is what decided the game. Roberto luongo let in 5 goals.

Giant slurpee

Today I drank a giant slurpee in about 10 minutes. It gave me major brain freeze and I think there my be some temperary damage to my mouth. My favorite flavor slurpee is the coke flavor. The part I like about that flavor is that no matter where I go if there are slurpees there is always a coke flavor. The part I don't like about slurpees is that when you're almost done you can never get that last little bit. It's really annoying.

Todayi read the fourth installment of the diary of a wimpy kid series. As always it was really funny and contained a lot of witty comments. The main character, Greg Heffley, gets a dog for his birthday. The dog really reminds me of my on as it crawls into my bed when it is wet like my dog too. This book was really funny and I can't wait for the next one.

This week I'm staying at my grandparent's house. My parents are going to New York for part of the week. My parents were supposed to be going for a course but then it hot cancelled and now they're going on vacation. Luckily I get to skip 4th period on Wednesday because I'm doing a skit to promote the Halloween dance.

Where the wild things are

Today, I went to see the movie "Where the wild things are". It was better than I expected but it still lacked a problem. There was no big conflict at all. There was a good lesson learned at the end of the movie, but it still didn't make up for the lack of plot. The main character, Max, reminded me of my younger brother. He was very hyper and wild. I liked the movie but I think that turning a 12 page book into a full length movie, was not a great idea.

Oakridge

Today, after school I went to Oakridge. Sometimes my mom works there for a lab my dad runs. I looked around but I didn't find anything I wanted to buy (actually I didn't have any money to buy it with). After that, I came home and had a snack. There was some mashed potatoes, which is one of my favorite foods. Later that night, my dad was asking my mom if she wanted some mashed potatoes, and she said: "No way! Those are over a week old!". Suddenly, I don't feel so well....

I've finally figured out what I'm going to be for Halloween. I'm going to be a zombie. It's simple yet scary, plus I can eat people.

I'm super excited for Halloween because I'm going to get a lot of candy. I'm not quite sure whether or not I'm going trick-or-treating but if I don't, I'll just pay my little brother for his candy.

Writer's festival

Today my english class and I went to the Writer's festival at Granville island. We had lots of time to look around Granville Island so I got lots of candy and some party snaps. The writer's festival featured Matthew Skelton and Hiromi Goto. The authors read us some excerpts from their books and they sounded pretty cool. I really enjoyed the trip today and I hope I can go again.

Heroes blog 3
Date: October 19th, 2009
Tonight was another episode of Heroes and another blog to be written. Tonight's episode, we have a time traveler with a brain tumor, helping a deaf lady to accept her power which is being able to see sound as color. His friend, Peter, is trying to find someone who can heal the time traveler's brain tumor. Just as he comes back to the hospital to save his friend he disappeared, vanishing to a different time as the time traveler no longer has control over his power. That's all for tonight, so until next time.

Today is the premiere of the twentieth treehouse of horror, the halloween special of my favorite show, the simpsons. The episode is three mini-episodes, occasionaly spoofing a horror movie. It's really funny and it's my favorite part of Halloween. Another great part is that Fox, airs all of the old episodes of Treehouse of Horror, which are really funny too.

Sleepover

Today, I had another french class with my friends Kai and Zoe. After the lesson I went to Zoe's house and we hung out there for a while. Later tonight, I'm going to have a sleepover with my dog. My parents would never let me because they were always afraid he would pee on the floor. Luckily, tonight there cutting him some slack and for the first time I can have a sleepover with my dog.

Ipod Touch

Today, I went to the Apple Store and I got and Ipod Touch. I've been waiting a long time and saving up forever to buy it. It's a 32gb 3rd generation Ipod. The part I like the most is that I can download all kinds of apps for free (since I'm broke and I don't have any money, that's a REALLY good thing).

Mixer dance

Today I went to the mixer dance. It was really fun but the best part was that since I was on student council, I got to end school early to go decorate. The dance was really well set up, and the lights were awesome. I can't wait for the Halloween dance!

Today, I finished my social studies map of Europe. It took a long time and a lot of work but, I managed to pull it off. I even added a sea monster to make it look cool. I also tied it up in ribbons to make it look nice. I have to keep this short because I'm not feeling so well. I hope I'm not coming down with the flu....

Last night, I came back late at night and couldn't do my blog. I will now recap all that happened last night. So, I went over to my Uncle and Aunt's house for Thanksgiving dinner. It was really big dinner and I had a good time. I think I'm having the last one tonight so I'll do and edit and add some later.

French lessons

Today I had a french lesson with Zoe and Kai (one of my friends who now goes to Brittania). After the french lesson they all came over to my house and hung out for a bit. Kai and I had a Nerf gun fight. I was great being able to see him again. Speaking of seeing people again, I also saw my old friend who moved to Calgary. It was nice seeing her again too.

This evening, I went to my dad's friend's' house for dinner. This is the first dinner I'm going to go to over the long weekend. When I went to their house I also watched the Lions vs. Eskimos game. It was a really good game especially with the 62 yard touchdown that Geroy Simon scored to win the game.

World Trade Center

Tonight, I built the Word Trade Center Complex out of paper for Applied Skills. I took FOREVER. I almost didn't have any time for doing all my other homework. That said, it was really fun. Although the folding, taping, gluing and cutting was really boring, looking at the finish product was really awesome. What was really ironic was while my brother was playing with his paper airplane I built for him, he crashed it into my towers.....

Collaboration day

This morning, as I went on the bus, I saw that none of my friends were there. I then got off the bus and walked over to the school to see - no other kids. As I walked inside, there was no one in sight. I then realized - TODAY WAS A COLLABORATIVE DAY!!!! I was there at eight o' clock when classes didn't even start until ten! I was so upset and tired........I went and took a nap nest to my locker...

Acoustic guitar

Today, when I went to my grandparent's house, I went and looked in their basement - I found an acoustic guitar! It turns out that it was my mom's guitar in high school! I'm going to start learning it because I like playing music and I'm going to quit the violin soon. I think it's going to be way more fun to play the guitar than the violin. Heroes blog 2

Today, there was another episode of Heroes, but before I get to that after I was leaving the living room after watching Heroes, there was a giant bug that was the size of my thumb on the railing. I didn't want to touch it because I didn't know if it was poisonous or not so I got my dad to take care of it. Anyways the episode of Heroes was really good because it had the main villain, Sylar, coming back from the grave. I can't wait to watch the next episode!

Soccer game

Today I went to go watch my friend's soccer game. She was from Burnaby and the team she was playing against was Vancouver. Her team didn't win but they played hard. After the game my friends who also came to the game and I went to the Mcdonalds on Main. I got an Oreo McFlurry and it tasted really good. That's all for today.

Cousin's Birthday

Tonight was my cousin's birthday. He doesn't really qualify as my cousin because he's twenty-something years old. He's an actor and he just played a role in the tv show Fringe. NHL 09

After last night's game I'm really psyched for the hockey season. I went out and got the NHL 09 game. NHL 10 was out but I read that there wasn't really any difference between the two other than the fact that NHL 09 was half the price. After I got it all I was doing was playing the game. It's really fun and I'm really addicted. Well, I have to go and you know what. Bye!

Flames hockey opener

Today is the first day of October and what a way to start the month with a hockey game. My favorite team is the Calgary Flames and tonight they're playing the Vancouver Canucks, my least favorite team. They were once my favorite but they play very badly all the time and when they got beaten by the Flames a few years back I knew they weren't the team for me. I'm really looking forward to watching the game tonight!
Edit: They won! the Calgary Flames beat the Vancouver Canucks 5-3 with an open-net goal by Dion Phaneuf! Awesome game!

Today all I've been listening to the band U2. The song I've been listening is "I'll go crazy if I don't go crazy tonight". It's a really good song and it has a really good music video. Another song that's really good is miracle drug. It's not as new as some of the other songs that are on their new album "On the Horizon" but it's still a really good song.

Today our social studies teacher, Mr.Sale, introduced us to his website. I've been doing the student trivia almost all day. It's really fun and a good thing to do when you're bored. At the moment we're stuck on a question involving who was the last emperor of China. I thought it was Qin Shi Huang but apparently that's not it. Any ideas Mr.Olson?

Heroes blog

Today, I've decided every Monday I'm gonna write about my favorite tv show, Heroes. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this show before. Today's episode was about how one of the main antagonists has sunken the house that he and his brother used to live in. The reason he did that is because his brother recently passed away and he wanted to look inside the house to remember all the memories he and his brother had. All in all, I give this episode a rating of 4/5 stars.

Today I went to Scotiabank Theatres to watch the movie "9". I went with my friends from Churchill. I also had a 50 dollar gift card with me so I got a large popcorn and a large drink and a bag of candy without going broke. The only bad part was when I was returning on the bus, I accidently took the wrong bus. I took me an extra 20 minutes to get home, and my parents weren't happy. I guess next time I should pay more attention to the bus number!

Karate practice

Today, I have a double-practice of karate. If it wasn't enough that I had practice last night my parents are making me go again. I'm really sore and don't really want to go but I can't disagree with my parents. You know, it's a kid thing. I do karate about four times a week for about 1 and a half hours each time. I have to get going for my practice now, so I guess that's it.

Student Council Elections Part 2

I won! I won! This morning during social studies class, the morning announcements came on and then they said who got elected for student council and two other guys and I got elected for the job. Apparently, this was the first time in Churchill history that a whole grade was represented by all boys. So, not only did I get elected - I also made history! Today was an awesome day and I can't wait for my first student council meeting!

Today was the day of the student council elections. I had to do a speech in front of all the grade 8's at school. I think I did pretty well because everybody cheered really loud for me. I really hope I won because I really want to be on student council. I think that I could make the school a better place for the grade 8's and even the rest of the school. I guess I'll find out whether or not I won tomorrow morning. Until then, see ya later!

My robot with a mullet

Today in Applied Skills class, we had to draw a robot in isometric form. Usually I'm really bad at drawing but this time it was really easy for some reason. Maybe it was because that we were drawing on a special kind of paper. My robot had a mullet. It was awesome. Everybody liked my robot because it was very original. I wonder what will happen on the test when I don't have the isometric paper? I hope I do well. That's all for today. See Ya!

Heroes

Oh my goodness! I'm soooo excited! My favorite TV show, Heroes is going to be on tommorow! The reason I'm blogging about this is because tommorow when I'm watching it I won't have time to blog so here it is: Last season the evil villain guy Sylar killed the Senator. The mind reader guy, Matt, hypnotised Sylar to think he was the senator, but in the trailer it showed him sort of acting like the villain. OOOOoooh I can't wait for tommorow!

Uncle's Birthday
I'm really tired so I have to keep this kinda short. This evening, I went to my uncle's house to celebrate his 60th birthday. My cousins and I spent most of the time upstairs watching Jurassic Park. My favorite part of that is when Dennis Nedry gets shot with acidic venom by the Dilophosaurus. Yeah, I know kinda cruel but he deserved it because he tried to smuggle dinosaurs for another company. Im really tired and sleepy so........goodnight.

All's well that ends well

Today I went on a field trip to Bard on the Beach to watch a play by Shakespeare called: "All's Well That Ends Well". The language was a bit difficult to understand but other than that the play was great! It was really funny and enjoyable to watch. My favorite part was the end when one of Helena's friends, Diana, was told by the King of France to choose a husband. Gavin and I were sitting at the end and when she went to choose a husband she went - and sat on Gavin's lap! It was really funny and he was blushing so much that his whole face was red! Bard on the Beach was really fun and I hope I can go again!

Today I did nothing of interest. I'm not really sure what to do if I have nothing to write about. Oh wait! I did do something today! I decided to run for student council. I'm figuring out what I'm going to do if I get elected. I think I'm going to promote parties at lunch time for us to get to know each other. I'm also going to hand out lollipops at lunch so people get to know me and vote for me. So vote for me Mr. Olson!

Lost wallet

Today during Strings class, I was sent to the office. When I got there I was told that my wallet had turned up in the halls and someone had found it and turned it in. It had $15 in it before, but now it has no money in it. :( I was really upset because this is the second time that my wallet has eluded my grasps. The other time my wallet got lost was at the PNE but that was such a long and tearful day I've blocked from my memory. This is all I have to say today so, goodbye.

Today in English class, we watched the first part of a movie about William Shakespeare. It was funny but also had some...(cough)... innapropirate material. We watched it because we are going to Bard on the Beach on Friday. We are going to watch the play "All's Well that Ends Well". We've been studying it for the past few days and I think I get the gist of it so far, but I'm kinda hoping that I'll forget some of it so it will be a surprise.

Mosaic puzzle

These past few days my family and I have been working on a 1000 piece mosaic puzzle of Homer Simpson. It's really difficult and it gives me a headache whenever I try to look closely at the pieces to figure out where the piece goes. I know it's gonna look nice when I'm done but right now I'm not sure wether or not it's worth all the time I'm putting in. It takes me about 5 minutes to find out where another piece goes. OH! Found another piece! I have to go now and find the piece that goes with that one. Bye!

Come together
Date: September 13th, 2009
This morning all I did was play the new Rock Band:The Beatles game. It's really fun and there are actually a lot of songs I know. The rest of my family likes it too - especially my parents. They like the regular Rock Band too but they don't know too many of the songs because they're kinda.......old. Even my younger brother can play too. He likes perform the drums and makes a lot of noise playing them. The song is starting so now I have to go. Cheerio!

New laptop
Date: September 12th, 2009
Today I went to a computer store to get a new laptop for school. It's a lot faster and has more applications I can download google sketchup now. Don't worry Mr.Olson, I didn't buy the computer just for the application! : ) I also had a double karate practice. It was really tiring and I can't wait to just sit back and relax for the rest of the weekend. It all starts tonight with staying at my grandparent's house. They spoil me a lot and it's really fun to stay there. I have to get going to their house so I have to sign off. Goodbye!

New days, Old memories

Today, after school ended, some friends and I went to go visit our old school - L'École Bilingue. I saw many of my old teachers and some of my younger friends. It was fun catching up and looking around my old school because now it looks so small and empty compared to high school. I also remembered that in elementary school there were actually water fountains that worked. If there was one thing I could change about high school I would definitely get water fountains that work.

Getting house painted
Date: Sept 10th, 2009
Today I'm getting my house painted. The body is kind of an off-white with an interesting trim that looks black but is actually a really dark green. I have to leave the doors open so that the door dries. I'm sort of scared that someone is going to break in if I leave the door unattended, so I'm just staying in the hallway so that I can keep the doors monitored. That's all I have to say today so I'm gonna sign off until tomorrow.

My first day of school
Date: September 9th, 2009
Today was my first day of high school. It was fun but different as I had to keep changing classrooms, unlike elementary school where I stayed in one classroom for most of the day. After school I took the Canada Line home. It was really nice and the train reminded me of the Tube, the transit used in London. All in all, my first day was a pleasant one and I hope the following days will be as much fun.
